Dark Chocolate Olive Oil Cake
This is feathery, dark, moist and mouth-fillingly rich. The right photograph is how it is found at our shop. The left photograph shows the cake in its party frock of raspberries, flaked almonds and a few dragees, which can be arranged on request for special occasions. Usually, it arrives with just chocolate ganache, dark and elegant, wonderful with a stern coffee or, if it isn’t too nurseryish, a glass of milk.
This cake will behave at room temperature for the best part of a day as long as it is kept in a cool place. In the fridge, it will keep for two days, in which case you should remove it approximately 20 – 30 minutes before you wish to serve.
Toppings may be added to the cake for a more celebratory feel. As the cost for this depends on the kind of toppings chosen, kindly contact our staff to enquire.
